The Short Run

Sometimes, what’s really needed in a project is to buy some time. Organizations need to budget for work that may not have been foreseen, weather needs to cooperate, and people need to make plans.

The Blithewood Drill Hall on the campus of Bard College is damaged but salvageable, but we needed to be certain that conditions did not get worse before repair work could start. The stabilization included some shoring on the interior, covering holes in the roof that were admitting water, and making sure the walls that had been unbraced by the deterioration of interior wood structure did not move any further.
