The picture above isn’t one of our projects. It’s a couple of steel-framed loft buildings across the street from where I was working on one of our projects. You can just make out the narrow gap between them on the left; the building on the right seems to be getting brick and terra cotta replacement. The replacement brick to the right of the plastic tarp seems to be the original color: decades of coal smoke and decades more of car and truck exhaust have done a nice job staining the brick. Interestingly, the clean brick almost exactly matches the color of terra cotta ornament. The glaze on the terra cotta has kept it more or less clean, while the rough brick surface has gotten dirty.
