As The Crow Flies, Updated

By coincidence, I happened to be back in the Bronx about three blocks from where I took a picture of Billionaire’s Row using my cell phone’s camera, only this time I had a proper camera with me. I didn’t have a real telephoto lens, but rather an adjustable lens with an somewhat-approaching-telephoto focal length. The whole picture is above.

Here’s the shot cropped to Billionaire’s Row and those are some tall skinny buildings. Again, about 6.7 miles to the buildings, the tallest of which is over 1500 feet tall and the most slender of which has a height-to-base ratio of around 24.

The large street in the foreground of the top photo is the Grand Concourse, one of the big parkways – in the original sense of the word – scattered around the city.
