Not Quite Synchronocity

Yesterday and today were the first snowstorm of the season. It’s something of a relief after last year’s disappointing winter (second-lowest recorded total amount of snow, according to the Times) to see a normal storm. Or, as NOAA calls it:

I took the picture above as I was headed home from the office yesterday, maybe half an hour after snow started to accumulate. The tree/shadow/tree-pit/snow clock reads 4:00 PM, but it was actually just after 5:00 when I shot it. I like the photo, but if the tree clock and the time had coincided, it would have been perfect.
